Senior, Quentin Skinner, participates in Lora Parcel’s School to Work program. Quentin works for Beeman’s Sawmill. Quentin’s supervisors report he has good attendance and has been easy to train. Beeman’s in Martinsville is a 3rd generation, vertically integrated, family operated company. The sawmill has expanded to offer pallet stock, steel mill lumber, truck mat building, and more. Products from the wood they process end up all over the United States. Their byproducts end up in wax paper, wood chips, motocross tracks, hog operations, and more. Josh and Kim Beeman feel that Quentin is getting great experience at the Sawmill for any future career path he may choose. They say they are always looking for reliable, trainable, committed employees who enjoy working outdoors. The sawmill has positions from general labor, skilled trades, operators, and CDL holders. They offer on the job training and will offer both competitive wages and benefits to employees. MHS is grateful to the Beeman family for allowing Quentin this work experience!
