Martinsville CUSD C3 would like to thank all individuals who made the new parking lot on the west side of the elementary school a reality!
In June of 2021, Linda Von Behren of Martinsville on the Move presented Board of Education President Michael Connelly the deed to a property on the west side of Martinsville Elementary.
Due to MOM'S dedication to the community and school, they saw a need for the property to be torn down. MOM's main funding source comes from Changing Hands Resale Shop which will re-open at the end of February in downtown Martinsville. MOM purchased the property/house and worked with Bishop Excavating on demolition and the donation of a dumpster. Once cleared, MOM donated the property to the district.
Martinsville Maintenance Director, Jeff Dhom would like to thank the following for their time, talents and resources:
City of Martinsville
Snearley and Company / Jerry Snearley
Dahnke Family Farms / Doug Dahnke
Bishop Excavating / John Bishop
Ax Family Farm / Dennis Ax
Parcel Farms
Jeff said he was thankful for "their hard work in making our new parking lot a reality." He added that he "hopes people will thank them when they see them and support them as a local business invested in their community!"
Thank you to everyone who had a part in this project for our district!
Thanks to Strohm news for the June 2021 photo.
