Thanks to Martinsville on the Move and the U of I Extension office for planning and presenting to Martinsville 8th graders an etiquette luncheon last week. Lora Parcel's Family and Consumer Sciences classes catered the meal while MOM volunteers helped in the serving. Students were given instructions on the essentials of dining etiquette. The presenter said that navigating lunch or dinner can be the key to building relationships, getting a coveted job, or sealing a business deal in the future. Proper dining skills are crucial. This comprehensive dining experience was meant to boost student confidence in any social or business setting.
