custodian

Drake Guilliford, Senior, has been working alongside our District Maintenance Director, Jeff Dhom this semester as part of the School to Work Program. This has been a tremendous benefit for him and for the District. With the shortage of custodians, Jeff Dhom said that “Drake has filled in and done a great job of helping out.” He added, “he has a great work ethic and I don’t have to babysit him. He even volunteers to work extra when not in school.”

Drake said that this experience has been great for him. It’s convenient since he can begin working after he gets off of school and helps out in any area of the school where they need it. Drake added, “I like getting to talk with my teachers when I go to collect trash. Hopefully this will turn into to a full time position; I feel I’ve been working really hard and would like more opportunities.” We are thankful that this opportunity has given Drake the work experience he desires while helping out in the area in which there is a shortage of workers.
