Addi Adams, senior at MHS, assists in the elementary cafeteria as a high school aide. Addi says she really enjoys working with the kids. "They give me lots of hugs when they see me" she said. Miss Becca, MES Cafeteria Aide, said of Addi's experience at MES that "the students love Addy. They also respect her; they raise their hand and ask her things like they would any other adult in the building. She receives many different hugs throughout her time that she helps in the cafeteria. She helps students open things at lunch, wipes tables down, passes out condiments when needed; she also helps Joy with cleaning up spills whether it is with a broom or the mop. She is always eager to help with anything she can."

MHS wants students to gain valuable experience when they are aides at MES. Miss Becca noted that the experience has been a good one for the little kids and for Addi: "it helps give her some experience in a workplace environment. This is also a great opportunity for her to see if she would like working in an elementary school in her future. She is very professional and a great help!"

We are so glad that we have HS students who are willing to assist our younger Bluestreaks at MES! Thank you Addi!
