Kaitlyn Lamb of Martinsville spoke with HS students yesterday during a Career Forum. She discussed her position in the lab and the many career opportunities that are available at Marathon in Robinson. The Robinson refinery is in Crawford County and has a crude oil refining capacity of 253,000 barrels per calendar day. According to their website, It was built in 1906 and purchased by MPC in 1924. Kaitlin told students about how the refinery processes sweet and sour crude oils into gasoline, distillates, natural gas liquids and petrochemicals, propane and heavy fuel oil. Students asked questions about training, salaries, and general inquiries about the refinery. Thanks to Kaitlyn for informing our students about the vast opportunities that are available to them upon their graduation.
