The final score wasn’t what we wanted, but the Bluestreaks took a real step forward today. FINAL: Bluestreaks 36 | Metro East Lutheran 78 Our boys came out focused, struck first, and put 36 points on the board after being challenged all week to start faster and with greater purpose. Most encouraging was the way they continued to battle. Their effort and fight never wavered. Thank you to everyone who came out for our first home game and supported our Bluestreaks. The band was loud and kept the energy going, and our cheerleaders were full of Bluestreak spirit on the sidelines! Our students, families, and community created a great atmosphere, and we truly appreciate it. Now we’ll get back to work and use next week as another opportunity to learn, improve, and take another step forward. Go Bluestreaks!

The excitement is building for our first home football game! We ended the school day with a short pep rally to get everyone ready for tomorrow’s game. Mr. Evers talked to our students about the importance of showing up, being loud, and supporting our student-athletes. We heard from our cheerleaders and football players, and our band led the crowd in the school song as everyone cheered along! We’re ready for a great day of Bluestreak football tomorrow! Kickoff is at 1:00 PM! Come out, fill the stands, and support our Bluestreaks! It’s a GREAT day to be a Bluestreak!

Miss Becca helped the kindergartners with a fun-filled day of learning in library. They learned all about our nation’s majestic bald eagle and then put their creativity to work painting their very own bald eagle projects to proudly display in our school. They also got started on their Gertie Goose creations as we prepare to kick off our exciting Gertie Goose Around the USA adventure! We can’t wait to see where Gertie travels and all the places our students will learn about along the way! Great job, kindergarten!

Mrs. Conzen’s 5th graders showed some awesome teamwork and earned themselves their very first Fizzy Reward! We love seeing our students work together, encourage one another, and show what it means to be a great Bluestreak! 💙🤍 Way to go, 5th grade, keep up the fantastic work!

The Martinsville Jr.-Sr. High School Band has been hard at work practicing and preparing for football season! They are ready to show off their marching skills at our first home football game this Saturday!

We are proud of our band members and the time and effort they have put into preparing for their performances. Be sure to come out Saturday and support the Bluestreaks, and enjoy a great performance from our band!

Kickoff is at 1:00 PM. Go Bluestreaks!

Make Plans to Join Us for Stars, Stripes & Safety! Mark your calendars for September 10 from 4:00–5:30 PM at Martinsville Elementary School! We have a fun evening planned for our MES students and families! Kids will have the opportunity to get an up-close look at fire trucks, ambulances, police cars, and other emergency vehicles. We’ll also have local community organizations and churches joining us for the evening! Families can walk through the school, visit classrooms with their children, participate in activities, play a few games, and simply enjoy some time together at MES. Come explore, learn, play, and connect with our school and community. We would love to see you there!

From celebrating birthdays to practicing our bus evacuation drills and spending lots of time learning alongside our friends, our Bluestreaks have had a full week!

Our Biology students have been putting our science department’s brand-new microscopes to good use! Mrs. Schaljo-Tolch’s Biology class started by learning the basics of using a microscope, including field of view, light intensity, depth of view, and staining techniques. Students then put their new skills to work by examining pond water for living organisms and using potato slices to practice staining techniques. We’re excited to have these new microscopes available for our students and love seeing them get hands-on experience in the science classroom!
