Boys varsity basketball fell to Trico 39-38 in OT at the Panther Showcase. However, great memories were made as the team practiced Friday night at Max Morris Gym in West Frankfort and competed today at Duster Thomas Gymansiun in
Pinckneyville. #GoBlue

Congratulations to the Lady Bluestreaks! After beating both Red Hill and OPH today in the Conference Tournament, the Bluestreaks are the Champions!!! Way to go!

MES had the honor of cheering for our 7th grade basketball team in the Regional Championship on Wednesday. While the Bluestreaks fought hard they fell short of the win. However, that doesn't stop the pride we feel for our students! We are so proud and impressed by the way our 5th and 6th grade students represented MES. There are many more big games ahead for these kids. Keep working hard Bluestreaks!

MES had an exciting and engaging end to the week. Mrs. Young and Mrs. Poston "let the dogs out" to help us celebrate 101 days of learning. Students and staff also combined learning and fun starting the day with a school wide duck hunt searching for 101 hidden ducks throughout the school. Some "lucky ducks" even won prizes.
Adding to a great day, Mrs. Feliciano's class had a guest reader who wears many hats in our community. Thank you Mr. Wilson for taking the time as a dad, firefighter, and Mrs. Paula's son to share a story with our students. It's always wonderful to see students and staff make learning fun and memorable.

There has been a schedule change next week for the High School Boys and High School Girls Basketball games on February 7th. These games will be played AT Ramsey High School.

High Flight LLC is creating a flight school in Casey at the municipal airport (1H8). They are still working on details, but would like to know if there’s any interest in the area so he told students what to expect. The estimated startup timeline would be around the beginning of May. He told students if they are interested in receiving flight training to contact him via email or phone at:
